Spring Seminar with Nakamura AND Turner Sensei!

We are delighted to announce that our Spring Seminar (May 1-3) will feature two of the most senior instructors of the Canadian Aikido Federation: Yumi Nakamura Sensei and Fran Turner Sensei. Nakamura Sensei (6th dan) is the chief instructor of Aikido Tendokai (Toronto) and Turner Sensei (6th dan) is the founder of Aikido Shugyo Dojo. They are both fantastic teachers who combine technical expertise with great Aikido spirit.

This seminar will also mark the 30th year of training for one of MUN Aikido’s instructors: Ivan Booth. Both he and other members of our club have been very fortunate to receive many years of instruction and guidance from these inspirational teachers.

The seminar will take place over three days from May 1 to May 3. All classes will take place in our dojo at the St. John’s Martial Arts Centre (21 Mews Place). The tentative schedule is:
Friday (May 1): 7:30pm-9:30pm
Saturday (May 2): 10:00am-12:30pm, 2:00pm-4:30pm
Sunday (May 3): 10:00am-12:30pm

Turner and Nakamura Sensei will each teach classes on all days. We will have a supper on Saturday night at which everyone is welcome. Details to follow.
